Volunteer Research Assistant Positions
The HSR Lab encourages dependable, highly-motivated undergraduate and graduate students to consider joining the lab as a research assistant. Research assistants are expected to commit to at least 2 academic semesters, with their first semester focused on completing online and one-on-one trainings as needed in order to be successful.
Students who can commit to at least 1-2 academic years are strongly encouraged to apply. Furthermore, BSPH students who are planning to apply to UTA’s MPH program and have an interest in big data are highly encouraged to apply.
Paid Research Assistant Positions
The majority of the positions in the Lab are volunteer. However, there may be some paid positions that may become available to students who have seniority in the Lab. UTA undergraduate students are encouraged to consider applying for the UTA Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP) or the UTA McNair Scholars Program which provides financial support to eligible students. Students who apply to these programs can indicate their interest in working with the Health Survey Research (HSR) Lab in their application/interview process.
